And so it goes

We're trying to get an indwelling catheter installed in leisa's belly so we can drain at home while watching Laverne and Shirley reruns. Much more comfortable and convenient. It was to happen last Friday but her blood pressure and platelet count were too low. Scheduled now for Thursday morning if she can hold out that long. If not, she'll have to be drained, lowering her blood pressure, and precluding the more permanent drain installation for a few days. Catch-22 anyone?

At least Winter is settling in to enhance leisa's temperature challenged system.

Hey, God.....what the %^$%##&. I fell down the stairs this morning and popped my shoulder out.....did a Bruce Willis/ Mel Gibson and popped it back in quickly but its going to hurt soon. Thanks alot.

On a more positive note, the Redskins don't have to play for about a week.

Nothing very exciting

Leisa continues to produce volumes of fluid in her gut. Yesterday was a 7 liter bonanza followed by a chemotherapy session. She's just about had it with the weekly drainings mostly because the several days prior to the draining she is so uncomfortable. By the way, 7 liters is about 2 gallons. It takes about 2 hours to trickle out. It is very exciting to watch a 2 hour trickle out and then a three hour drip in. What better way to spend an Autumn afternoon?

The latest CT scan showed the tumors to be somewhat stable. Stable is good. Twice a day injections at home thin her blood to hopefully help the clots in liver related veins to dissolve.

No travel for Thanksgiving. Feel free to stop by. We need the distraction.

Our best to everyone,

Jeff
