Getting weaker

Second session of new chemotherapy yesterday. Hair not yet falling out. Nausea and extreme fatigue combined with leisa getting generally weaker anyway make this new treatment a barrel of fun.

She can't walk unaided or get out of bed or a chair by herself. None of this is good. We are both wondering why keep up treatment? We'll have to make that tough decision soon.

We feel your prayers and are grateful everyday.

New chemotherapy

Saw the doc today. Disease has progressed in the spine and the liver tumors are slightly bigger.

Leisa started treatment with adriamycin, a long-time breast cancer drug from the 60's with some success in gastrointestinal cancers. Its a long shot and bright red. She will loose her hair in about 3 weeks and have pink wee wee.

CT Scan and MRI in an hour

Beautiful afternoon in the Nation's Capital. 75 and sunny. Did some quality porch time while leisa slept.

Last week the hospital determined that leis has a urinary tract infection. An antibiotic was added to the other 58 drugs she takes. She's feeling better now after the ordeal of drinking barium at 6am and enduring both a CT scan and an MRI of her brain. The confusion she suffered and the shaking hands and weak limbs worry the doc. He wants to see if cancer may have spread to her brain. We'll find out Thursday at noon thirty.

Two years have passed since leis was diagnosed. One year since Molly (our dog) left us. We're ready for something new. Perhaps a house fire or an automobile mishap or maybe a yard fungus.

Our best to everyone.
